What are Sliders

Sliders are created by piling glass and frit onto the kiln shelf and angling the shelf so the glass will slide down the shelves. DO NOT use paper as it will embed in the glass.

Fire on a kiln washed shelf as the glass will slide better. Sliders create custom sheets with great movement with increased hold times at the top of the fuse.

I created my metal pot to recapture and repurpose the large amounts of glass that are left on the sides and bottom of the pot. The one mm fiber I line the metal vitrigraph pots allow the recapturing the vitrigraph pot sides creates fantastic slider components.
